You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Horror content can be disturbing, and parts of this site describe violence, death and trauma; by using the site you confirm you are old enough to encounter such material.

Accounts are personal. Do not share your password, and do not create accounts to evade a suspension or ban.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your password secret and unique; if you suspect someone else has access, change your password immediately — this signs out all other devices.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or the community guidelines.

You keep full ownership of every story, reply and message you write. We claim no ownership over your words.

By posting publicly on HorrorGod you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, format and distribute that content as part of operating the site — for example showing your story on its page, in listings, in search results and in feeds, in all three site languages. This license ends for content you delete, except where it persists in quotes by other members or in backups for a limited time.

You may republish your own stories anywhere else at any time — they are yours.

Content that is illegal, that sexualizes minors, that incites or threatens violence, or that violates another person's privacy or intellectual property.

Hate speech, harassment, spam, malware, phishing links, or deliberately deceptive content such as plagiarized stories presented as your own experiences.

We may review, approve, reject, edit for safety (for example adding content warnings), lock or remove any content, and we may restrict, suspend or ban accounts, at our discretion, to keep the community safe and lawful. We are not obligated to store or display any particular content.

Stories on HorrorGod are personal accounts and entertainment. Even stories labelled as true are the author's own recollection and belief — we cannot and do not verify them. Nothing on this site is professional advice of any kind.

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of content you may find disturbing or objectionable.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HorrorGod.com and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or from any content posted by members. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use the site — which is nothing, as the site is free.

You may stop using the site or request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms, with or without notice depending on severity. Sections about content licensing, disclaimers and liability survive termination.

We may revise these terms as the site evolves. Significant changes will be announced on the site before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
